Cass Want and John Argent
On 6th July 2002 at Pontlands Park Hotel

I was woken on our wedding day at around 7.15 by the shrill of my alarm. My two bridesmaids and I wearily raised us from our beds and wandered downstairs for our breakfast. We looked out at the overcast skies with optimism that the weather forecast for a bright and warm afternoon was, for once, going to be right. I found myself feeling a little stressed and a little anxious about the day that lay ahead.

Within no time at all our make up artist/hairstylist had arrived, the feeling of stress had started to lift and I felt that everything was going to be just fine. She started to work her magic on us and did an amazing job. The time just flew by and all of a sudden it was 12 o'clock and my parents had arrived and the house was suddenly a hive of activity, flowers arriving, videographers, and photographers, finally it all started to seem so real. The skies at this point were still a little overcast and looking a little black, still we didn't let it worry us, as it was still very warm. The photographer announced he wanted to take some photos in the garden, and like a miracle the minute we opened our back door and walked outside, the clouds cleared and the sun was shining gloriously, as if by magic.

After the photographs, we made our way to the wedding car; a white Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud. We then made our way to the hotel, in which we were to have both the ceremony and the reception. I hadn't been that nervous until this point, but suddenly the nerves kicked in.

Everything in the hotel looked gorgeous, better than I could have dreamed. My dad and I walked into the ceremony room and the minute I saw John I just wanted to run to him and hold his hand. I stood next to him, he looked gorgeous and I could feel the emotions welling up inside me; I couldn't stop shaking.

The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous and moving. We then went outside for a Champagne reception. The weather was still beautiful and we had all the photographs taken just as we had dreamed.

The reception marquee looked absolutely gorgeous, decorated with cream lilies and dark red gerberas, it was better than I could ever have imagined it would be.
The evening was excellent, there was a fantastic band, so much food was eaten and so many drinks were drunk and everybody said they had the most fantastic day.

We both said it was the best day ever and the perfect start to a fantastic life
