Friday evening was very relaxed
with a few friends and close family round. They all left
about 10.30pm and by 11.00pm my bridesmaid and I were
tucked up in bed. I knew I wouldn't get any sleep but
didnt expect to be up at 6.00am watching Winnie the Pooh.
The morning went so quickly that before I knew it my chief
bridesmaid and I were at the hairdressers and when we
got back at 11.00am the makeup artist was waiting for
us.
Once I was done I was sat in the glorious heat in the
garden with a bowl of chips and a glass of Champagne while
my chief bridesmaid was done. The morning just whizzed
by, and at 12.00pm the flowers arrived, at 1.15pm I was
getting ready, and by 1.40pm the cars had arrived and
it was all systems go. It was really weird because I was
a little nervy all morning but as soon as the cars arrived
I was fine and loved every minute of feeling like a princess.
Once we got to the church it was a dream for me. The best
bit had to be walking down that aisle and seeing my very
gorgeous groom waiting for me. The vows went really well,
although I could only look at Alan once when saying them,
as I couldn't stop laughing; it didn't help all the faces
that he was pulling.
By 3.00pm it was all over and we were having all our photos
done. The meal was so nice and the speeches went really
well, despite Alan and me having all the guests in tears
due to our speeches and difficult circumstances.
We did our first dance to 'From this moment' by Shania
Twain and then we partied. I must have been on the dance
floor all night. By 12.30am Alan had to drag me away and
we had to be up at 6.00am to be at the airport for our
honeymoon.
Do Differently: I wouldn't do anything about the
wedding different although I would have gone on honeymoon
on Monday instead of Sunday.
Groom's Comments: Greatest day of my life, but
I am glad it's all over and we can concentrate on our
wonderful life together.
