Hi I got married in December on a tight budget and alot of people said it was the best wedding they had been to. We got married at 4pm, so we only fed our guests once, which consisted of a hot and cold buffet. We still had a formal seating plan and speeches etc. There was a bar so we didn't put wine on tables, but did have sparkling wine for toasts and welcome drinks on arrival. A good way of cutting our costs was using our wedding cake as the dessert with coffee. Marks and Spencers do lovely cakes for weddings and we also got our invitations from there. My husband created a website with all the details, directions and hotel info etc I also got my bridesmaids dresses from a high street shop, they were beautiful evening dresses that I teamed with wraps and they were very effective. My friend did my photographs and we also encouraged our guests to email their photos to our website by putting the details on the table, which seemed a good idea but unfortunately we had very little response. I hope you have a wonderful day. E x Back |
