Los Angeles and Disneyland

Las Angeles is the largest city in California and is located on the southern coast of California about seventy-five miles north of the Mexican border and four hundred miles south of San Francisco. The Pacific coast bounds it on the west and the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains form the border to the east. Along the Pacific shore, Malibu and Santa Monica are the best-known high-class beach communities, while Venice Beach is better known for the bikini roller blade set. Hollywood is the historic home of the movies, Beverley Hills the home of the stars and Disneyland the home of Mickey Mouse. So if you want a wedding amongst the stars you don’t need to wait until after dark in Los Angeles.

Ceremonies
If the idea of a fairy tale appeals to you then your dreams can come true in Disney Land in any one of their magical worlds but Los Angeles offers you so much more as well. Whether you choose to marry in a chapel, in a beautiful garden or star in your own blockbuster in Hollywood it is all there for the asking. Ordained ministers of a church, judicial officers, clerks of the circuit courts and notaries of the state can perform legally recognised marriage ceremonies.

Obtaining a marriage licence

See Further Information for where to obtain your marriage licence. Your licence may be obtained up to 90 days before your wedding date and you must both be present with the necessary documents when you make the application.
